This painting depicts the Church of St. Anna near the village of Tatranská Javorina, set against the noble backdrop of the Belianske Tatras. Built in wood in a striking neo-Gothic style, this church is a designated national cultural monument. It is surrounded by a small cemetery, a mortuary and tomb, and monuments connected to the Hohenlohe family.

Historically, the church was founded by Prince Hohenlohe, a nobleman with significant holdings in the Tatra region. The building honours St. Anne, traditionally associated with the protection of forests and caretakers of land.
