This painting puts you into the eyes of those who have hiked “Great Rozsultec” in the Slovak national park, Mala Fatra. This landscape captures the serene majesty of rolling green hills and distant mountain ranges, enveloped by dynamic skies. This is the type of view that originally sparked my interest in landscapes, the feeling of standing on top a mountain and gazing at the world below. Trying to grasp the scale of the world, even right in front of you, is a near impossible task. You try and see as far as possible, but the distant land slowly escapes and your eyes. But what I love most about these aerial views is that it forces you to focus on the landscape as a whole.
