This painting shows a tall, weathered tree standing alone in a Tasmanian landscape. Its bare branches reach upward against a grey, overcast sky, giving the tree a strong, sculptural presence. Though the tree has long since died, it remains a striking part of the land and a resting point for a small black Currawong bird.
