Two painted storks tend to their young in a woven refuge nestled above a wetland landscape. Beneath them is a symbol of their care and devotion, chicks wait with open beaks, restless and unaware, while their parents tend to them. The patient gathering , the shared guarding, and the instinct to shelter until they can meet the sky on its own.
