A stunning scene of a man tending to his bonsai in a Japanese garden accompanied by cherry blossoms and koi fish. The title “literati” is the style of bonsai present in the painting. Bonsai has been a hobby of mine for several years now, it motivates me to learn more about different species of trees, teaches me patience, the ability to care and inspires my work in subtle ways.
