Coastal Sheep

Inspired by William Hunt's "Out English Coasts" when visiting the Tate gallery with an old friend, I decided to make my own scene. Adorned with my favourite animal to paint, we have fluffy sheep grazing along a windswept cliff edge, with the ocean stretching behind and tall blue clouds overhead. If you share my adoration, then this one's for you.

The imagery draws from my experience working at an animal sanctuary, where walking and herding sheep became a long lasting and formative memory.
