This painting captures a waterfall set within the dense forests of Canada. I love the contrasting the movement of water with the solidity of rock and the stillness of the surrounding trees. The rushing cascade is framed by steep cliffs and thick greenery, showing the power of natural forces within a sheltered setting. I worked on this piece with careful observation to accurately portray Canada with clarity and precision, each rock, leaf and ripple of water painted on with romantic intent.
