I approached this subject with care and respect, giving equal attention to the trees, land and sky, emphasising the balance of nature. The domineering cloud above this Canadian mountain, its scale and presence ever changing and evolving. The bare ridgeline, steep and populated by distant evergreen trees reaches high into the sky. The foreground feels comforting and secure, branches and leaves interwoven into a grand defence against wind and rain for animals to seek shelter.
