This is a Slovakian mountain, featuring two sheep that I added as it reminded me of the two my grandparents had. This painting acts as a tribute to my second home, its robust landscape of synergetic harmony, mountains act as highways for water to funnel down and feed the soil. Soil grows fauna and provides sustenance for wildlife. Tree canopies are shelters and their labyrinth of roots stop the ground from being eroded by rain. Thinking about this intricate structure and cycle of life always reinforces my gratitude and appreciation for nature and never fails to amaze me how everything has its place, everything belongs here and everything is needed.
