Sitting on the precipice of death and rejuvenation, its trunk dry and worn, its branches nearly bare. Only a few hold onto their foliage. At its base, a cascading branch buried back into the earth pushed itself up, rising again.

Behind it, Monument Valley sits under the deep purple of twilight. The pastel rock formations recede into the distance and their edged illuminated by the last light. The tree carries marks of age and struggle, but there is a small sign of life within it. Against the land of purple, it suggests that even when something seems finished, life can find a way.
